Steven E. Mach is an associate of Napierski, VanDenburgh, Napierski & O’Connor, LLP. A tenacious advocate, Steve champions his clients’ values and objectives across a broad spectrum of civil liability issues when complex litigation threatens to undermine the status quo. Leveraging a client-centered approach to resolving disputes, Steve has a proven track record of defending professionals in a wide range of personal injury and malpractice actions, and insureds in a myriad of tort and insurance controversies. Steve primarily focuses on the defense of medical professionals, and also draws on significant experience defending legal professionals, accountants, and directors and officers. He advises and represents clients in litigation, from inception through disposition, in both state and federal courts as well as a variety of alternative resolution forums.

Prior to joining NVNO, Steve defended prominent automobile manufacturers in various forms of consumer litigation, including actions alleging claims of fraud, breach of warranty, and violations of state deceptive trade practice acts and lemon laws. Steve also has experience defending the nation’s largest insurance companies in coverage actions and disputes, including actions alleging bad faith and extracontractual claims, arising predominately from property and casualty, business owner, and commercial lines.

Steve’s dedication and expertise have been recognized in the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch and Super Lawyers: Upstate New York Rising Stars publications annually since 2021. Steve is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California, and is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of New York, Southern District of New York, and District of New Jersey.
